Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.
He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

Happy 2009 everyone!

This blog has been pretty dead and I don't intend to update it frequently for now. Just don't seem to have the mood.

Anyway, 2008 was ok I guess. Time flies when you are busy don't it? Before you know it, one year has passed by already. Uni life? Hectic is the only word I can use to describe it. Its not funny anymore. Exams are coming in exactly 2 weeks time and I'm still lazing around going out and all. The one week holiday was ok. Went out and had lunch or dinner with friends. Relaxed and all. But, by the end of the week I felt like dying. All thanks to the Psychology report and my Statistics report. They almost killed me. First time ever did I have 30 minutes sleep a night. Thats just insane. So, class resumed for another week and I still have no idea whats going on. Study Sze, STUDY!

Oh yea. I cleared up my room on Sunday, finally. And on Monday I got myself a double bed. Woah, its huge. No more sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Can even roll around the bed if I want to. Thanks HuiShan for helping me fix up the bed. You're awesome! And since I got the double bed, I have to reshift everything in my room. This means - cleaning up all over again. But I like it. After clearing stuff up, my room actually look more spacious.

Hmm. Guess its gonna be study time for me from today onwards. No more tv (I hardly ever watch). No more slacking around. But msn is always gonna be on. Can't live without it. =)

I know I know. I've been really lazy blogging lately. Well its not my fault. Blame it on the uni thats giving me a hectic and stressful life. Lol. Anyway, went out on Merdeka eve.

Yes people, although I'm in Australia I still wanna celebrate. Maybe students here are bit more patriotic? Going out to celebrate, or maybe its just an excuse to get a chance to chill and relax. Well, went to CQ, and overall it was alright.

Bad thing bout it? It was bloody stuffy. The only place that has cool air was at the balcony, the area where people smoke. So, can't really stay there for long either.

Fazura the MTV Asia Dj came for the last..2 minutes before we all screamed Merdeka I guess? So at 2am, a big bunch or Malaysians/non Malaysians were singing/screaming Negaraku probably at the same time as Malaysia. People at One Utama/The Curve perhaps? hehe

Bumped into a few friends but didn't manage to take photos with them. So, these are the only pictures you all are gonna get that I stole from someone else's blog. Enjoy!

Weeee. Finally have the time to update my blog. Have been busy packing and all cause I had to move. Anyway. This is gonna be a really long post. Not much words, just photos.

First and final Potluck at my place - for this year

Ok..had the potluck last Saturday I think. Too much food. Calvin came over the day before to make tao fu fa. It's really good. Taste exactly like those you get from stalls in Malaysia.

Next morning Jia Yuan came to prepare roast pork, creme caramel and chocolate pudding. The roast pork and creme caramel was nice, chocolate pudding not so. Then Charmaine came to help and cook the curry chicken. Let's see what happened.

Now, JASON MRAZ update.

Few months back Tat Ren asked me if I wanted to go for Jason Mraz's performance in Melbourne. So I thought, heck, why not. He actually flew from Adelaide to come see Mraz. And flew back the next day at 6 to attend his 8am class. Thats abit insane. Ah well. It was worth it I have to say. Mraz's performance was great and it was a small place so we saw him up close. Probably 6 rows away from the stage.

Mind you, we had to wait outside for an hour before the door was open. We were freezing cold. Got in and got a t-shirt each. Melanie Horsnell was the opening act. Sang for half an hour maybe? I'm not sure. Not many people were listening, they were all waiting for Mraz to perform. This dude infront of me was actually playing with his phone the whole time instead of listening to Melanie. Oh come on dude, give the girl a chance.

Week 1

Week 1 of sem 2 - Boring as usual.

Lucky we didn't have labs during the first week. But lectures are already draining all of my energy. Quizzes, reports and assignments all over again. I just 'love' university life.

Ok. Let's recap what I did this week. I love Mondays. Only 1 lecture and I have a choice of either going at 8 or 10 in the morning. This Monday went to the city after my Bio lecture to meet up with Jian Hao for lunch. Lay Ai was supposed to come too but she said class has started. Think she went to have lunch at the same place the next day or something.

Ha! Jian, obviously I've got better skills than you =P

These made us wait for an hour.

We had dim sum. Think this is the 3rd time I had dim sum since I came to Aus. It's not that bad. I like the 'ha gao' or prawn dumpling? I don't know, something like that, and the egg tart, and the bun...It was a buffet so we just ask for what ever we want off the cart. Eat eat eat, and finally waited for dessert - Sai Mai Lou. We waited for an hour for it ok!

Fast forward to Thursday. Went for 1 hour lecture only since I didn't have lab. The Monash Uni Malaysian Students' Union had a bbq at the Sports Complex so I went there had lunch and met a few people. Went over to Calvin's place after that to help out for the Pasta Night event. Cooked spaghetti for like 40 people? Turned out alright & he event was quite nice too. People were friendly and all.

Next day after class met up with Sulynn and went grocery shopping. I know. That sounds totally sad. Anyway, I asked her to help me get the Jason Mraz CD from Malaysia and I finally got it!!! Gosh I love his songs.

Today I walked all the way to her place...probably a 45 minutes walk to copy videos from her hard drive. Spent the last 3 hours watching "How I Met Your Mother". Nice show, quite funny. And here I am now updating my blog at 3.35am. Time to go off!

Last week of my holiday. & I'm sort of enjoying it. Lets see what I have been doing throughout the week. Cleaned up the house like a maid on Monday and Tuesday. Tried scrubbing the balcony, I did it halfway, but it got too cold and it started to rain. So, got back into the house and left the balcony soaking in bleach.

Wednesday. Now Wednesday was a great day. Met up with Calvin at campus center at about 11 or 12 I suppose. Went to the "Three" shop and got a new line. I got a new phone by the way. It's just gorgeous, LG U990/LG Viewty. OK, I have never thought that I'll get an LG phone but you got to admit, this phone is sweet! Touch screen with 5 mp camera, the only downside is that it doesn't have wifi. But I don't care, when I'm out I won't be going online or whatever. Besides, it'll take up too much battery than it already does since it has a large screen. Blah blah blah. Finally got my international student card done after like 5 months.

Got real excited when I got home. Just took the phone outta the box and everything else. Sorta messed up the place. Charged the phone and started playing with it. Ahahh...you all must really be jealous. Got so caught up with the phone I almost forgot about going out in the evening. Realised it half an hour before I was supposed to be there. You guys have to remember that it takes me around 20 minutes to walk to uni. Rushed all the way there met up with a few friends and took the 733 bus to Boxhill. Had dinner at this small Taiwanese restaurant and went to "Dark Zone" to play laser tag from 8pm til 10pm. It was awesome. Sorry, didn't take any photos.

Fast forward til Friday, the day eve of release of results. GULP. I was panicking throughout the whole day. What can I say, I'm just like that. Since I signed up for the sms service, I expected to receive my results a night before. At 8pm, I was soooo tempted to go to bed and forget bout it.

Somehow I didn't. Then...my handphone vibrated. Initially I didn't think about anything. Thinking that its a message from a friend. Till I saw "my.monash portal S...". I thought, oh crap. Please let me pass everything. I just want to pass everything. Not greedy not aiming high. Thank goodness, I passed everything. Weeeeee. I'm lucky, real lucky.

Thats about it for my entire week.

Sorry for the Late Post

Sorry sorry sorry for the late update.

OK. Let's see. Mt Dandenong post up 1st. Honestly. I didn't know how to go there. Was supposed to meet up with Calvin at the bus loop at Monash at 9am, but I woke up at 8.30...so had to rush and sort of like jogged there. Anyway, met up with his friends, got on the bus, took the train, then the bus, and finally walked for about 5-10 minutes to look at the view. It was freezing cold to say the least. Only wore a hoodie with a sleeveless top under it. Time for pictures!

Ok. Thats about it for the Mount Dandenong trip. Next would be...going to the city? Had dinner with LayAi, JianHao, Peter, Karmun, Carlos, Rufimy. Then went to San Churro. Spanish donut with white chocolate, milk chocolate & dark chocolate. Dark chocolate tasted the best. =) Sleptover at Lay Ai's place. Didn't wanna go back to Clayton late at night. It's just freaky to walk alone especially when there aren't many street lamps here.

I slept at three places. In the same apartment. Shared a bed with LayAi but decided to sleep on the floor after that since I'm not used to sharing a single bed. Somehow, I moved out and slept on the couch after that. Blah blah blah, LayAi, HuiZheng and I went out for lunch at DessertHouse I think. LayAi left for work and I followed HuiZheng back to her place. Gosh. I absolutely positively loved it. It's like living in paradise. That might be too much, but yea. It's so much nicer than my place! She insisted on cooking by herself although I offered to help. Sleptover at her place too. And the best thing was, I got to sleep on her bed while she slept on the floor. How nice of her. Time for pictures again.

Went to meet up with my cousin in the city last week. I love the city. Everyone is there. Anyway, I was late, again. Was supposed to meet up at 11 I got up at 10.30am. This better not happen when uni starts again. Or else I'm doomed. Had Max Brenner, hot chocolate with waffle ball. Jelaknyaaaaa. And also Tutti-Frutti Waffles that was sort of our breakfast + lunch, at least it was for me. Talked for quite abit in her room. Oh, her name is Charmaine by the way. She got me so interested in the apple imac. Big screen, nice features. I like. Then went for a walk at Melbourne U. Lol. It's nice I guess, but I prefer modern looking building. It just feels odd to be studying in an old building for me.

Anyway, had pizza for dinner. Ms Charmaine was smart enough to ask them to "spice it up", the pizza that is. It came and it was really, really, really spicy. Decided to get another pizza. Think the waitress was kinda shocked cause she asked if we wanted it then. 2 girls, 1 large pizza, 1 regular pizza. Left with 4 slices in the end. Big eaters eh? I'm so doomed. Winter is really really really expanding my stomach & appetite. I hate it =( Pictures again.

Since I'm so busy with exams, I'll just post this 2 videos so I don't have to put much thought into this post =D

Oh yea and although I'm here in Aus, I do know the sky rocketing petrol price. My opinion? It's way tooooo high. 40% rise is just horrible. Petrol price gone up means food and others will go up too. IF ONLY the peoples' pay is going up. I'm expecting crime rate to go up, people driving off after pumping petrol perhaps? I don't know. It's a classic girl-bonding scenario: While moaning to your roommate about uterine cramps, premenstrual syndrome or some other such periodic inconvenience you realize that she, unlucky girl, is having her period, too. Momentarily distracted, you take a collective step back to marvel at the wonders of human biology that have allowed your ovulation cycles to synchronize.

Though widely accepted as a fact of female life, many psychologists and anthropologists doubt the existence of such menstrual synchrony. Nearly half of the papers published on the topic find no evidence that close co-habitation draws menstrual cycles closer together. What's more, studies that do find an effect have been dogged by harsh criticisms of poor design and naive statistical analyses.

Menstrual synchrony was first demonstrated in a 1971 paper published in Nature by Martha McClintock. The University of Chicago psychologist had observed during her undergraduate days in an all-female dorm that close friends tended to get their periods at the same time.

To test the idea formally, she asked 135 college girls living in dorms to recall their period start dates at three times throughout the academic year. She found that close-friend groups had periods significantly closer together in April (later in the year) compared with October: lessening from an average of 6.4 to 4.6 days apart.

The phenomenon was dubbed "the McClintock effect" and is widely held as the first example of pheromones—unconscious chemical signals that influence behavior and physiology—among humans.

The world is really going crazy eh? This month itself 2 natural disaster have already occurred. And its not even the end of the month yet. The cyclone that happened in Burma and the earthquake in China. What on EARTH is going on right now?

Death tolls are increasing rapidly as search and rescue team enters to help the citizen. Family members cry and plead them to continue the search when they had to call it off because the place was simply too dangerous to be at. The current death toll resulting from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in China? 22069 people as of 2pm Friday. That was more than 24 hours ago. Thats not all, the officials said that it is feared more than 50,000 people are feared dead in Sichuan province alone.

At least their troops are doing their work real well. Helping out the citizens and all. Their fast acting proved that they are efficient when facing natural disasters or events of any kind. Besides, the world's attention are on them since the Olympics 2008 games are going to start in less than 3 months time.

1st of all before I start my post today....

OMG WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO ME.

After looking at photos taken today. Crap. My face is as big as a "Big Pao @ Dai Pao" already. It is time to stop pigging out and start exercising. I'm not joking. I DO NOT wanna look like a pig when I get back to Malaysia.

Anyway. Back to today's post. Went to the zoo today. Its the "Werribee Open Range Zoo" by the way. Can look at the animals up close. It's sorta like a safari type zoo? Lol. Anyway. Woke up at 5am in the morning to make sandwiches since Sulynn and her friends wanted to have a picnic. Yea. After that had my shower, grabbed an apple and started to walk to the train station. My gosh. Looked at my phone and I thought I was gonna miss the 6.48am train so I started jogging to the station. Stupid decision. The train decided to ski that time so I ended up waiting anyway.

Fast forward all the way till we reached the zoo. It was kinda nice I guess. I mean I haven't been to the zoo since I was..4? Yea max 5. Blah blah blah. Went on the truck the tour guide think her name is Jilly or Jilli. Yea she was quite nice. So went to look at giraffe, rhinos, kangaroos, ostrich etc etc etc.

Oh. There are poop everywhere. Ew. It can camouflage with the pebbles on the ground. *sweat.

I decided to make cinnamon roll since I'm craving for it and Andrew made curry puff for dinner. Oh. It's Jumbo size curry puff.

When he was making it I was just staring at how big the curry puff was gonna be. Don't believe me? Look at the photo. Damn it. It's even bigger than my hand!

LOL. Sorry people. Finally have the time and mood to update my blog. =D
Okay Andrew and I got a bbq pit like on Saturday night cause the people downstairs were having korean bbq and the smell was just toooooo good.

So as usual, I walked to Clayton Road. Haha. I just love walking around. Got to the shop and ThankGOD they deliver it locally. That means I don't have to drag the bbq pit, charcoal and a few other stuff back home. Its real heavy. Not joking. Hmm...Oh and then on Monday night we decided that we'll have a small bbq gathering on Friday, today.

Grocery shopping was a pain. The chicken and beef and sausages and sauces and etc etc etc were bloody heavy. Anyway. We prepared satay and ribs and also the sausages. Lol. Had to try out the bbq before we actually use it today. We didn't wanna risk it. We were really scared that the charcoal won't lit. Hehe. Took like 1 hour+ for the stupid chicken to cook. Real worth the wait though. Was so tender and juicy! Oh yea! I decided to make dumplings too. Fillings were fine. The skin was too thick. I'll just get ready-made skin next time.

OH. I invited my long lost cousin over. Lol. Got to see her the 1st time probably in like 10-15 years? Went to the train station to walk her back. Yeap. Nice to have a relative here in Aus. Makes you feel better knowing that you're not alone. La la la. Talked abit...then went to the station again to walk Hui Zheng here. When I came back there were like..5 people? Then I think about 12 people came in total? I'm just guessing. Wasn't counting. Having a bbq ain't good. Cause I have been eating from noon til night. Lol. Pancakes, pineapple rings, hotdogs, ribs, satay. Alot of stuff. At least I enjoyed myself. Thats all that matters right?

Walked my cousin/Charmaine to the station. Halfway there and it decided to drizzle. So we split and was running opposite directions. Kinda funny come to think of it.
Walked HuiZheng to the station. My goodness. It decided to rain when I was walking back. Walking at 10pm here while it rains while wearing shorts and slippers is not enjoyable at all. At least I had a jog in the rain...Hehe.

Got to get back to work asap. =)

Ok. I'm not obsessed with food now. But I like it ok. Anyway. HuiZheng came over for lunch yesterday. Had to walk all the way to the train station to meet her and walk her back to my place. Hehe. Great day. Cool & all. So yea. Went back and since we prepared lunch already we just started to eat.

Lunch for the day? Roast chicken with potatoes, sweet potatoes & carrots. They were fabulous. The chicken was real tender and juicy. The potatoes & all were totally sweet. I mean real real sweet. Much better than boiling them and making mashed potato. Trust me. We've tried it a few times. Anyway...kept eating and finished it off. Whats for dessert? Strawberries. Alot of strawberries. Just look at the picture and you'll know how much strawberries I bought..Lol. The picture shows one third of the strawberries I bought only by the way. The rest are currently in the freezer. Took some out and had some just now. Tasted great. Frozen strawberries =)

What ever. We have a lot a lot a lot of food. Yet its getting harder to decide what to have for dinner. By the way. No, we aren't having take aways every night for dinner or frozen food that just needs to be left in the oven or microwave. We actually cook ok. Well I don't do alot of cooking. More washing. Hehe. Weeee. Finally finally finally got my internet connection. Thank goodness. I was gonna go mad for not being able to go online to chat with you all/read my mails/do my work.

Ok. Lets see. I have not updated my blog for like....3 weeks. Well sorry. Blame it on the stupid courier company that was supposed to send the modem last week. Well they did. But no one was at home. And they didn't leave a note. Kept calling the internet service provider and they kept saying it'll come within 24-48 hours. Retarded. Finally...I was free after 9 yesterday so decided to walk to the post office since they said it'll most be there. It was freaking hot ok. I can practically feel the sun burning my skin. Oh. Btw. Coming to aus didn't make me fairer. The total opposite. Got even more tan than I was before. Back to collecting the modem, walked there and they were like...Oh sorry...I think you better call the courier company, the parcel is not with us. I mean...WTH. Whatever, looking at the bright side. I did have a nice lunch. Hehehe....Spicy boneless chicken with chips. Went off called them again and they say they'll redeliver it today. Which they did in the morning. Weeeee. Ok. This is a really really really stupid post.

People in Malaysia. Please do not complain about the heat. It's terrible here. Just crack an egg on the ground. I'm very sure it'll cook soon. No car, that's the worst thing. Need to walk everywhere. 25 minutes to walk to uni. 20 minutes to the train/bus station. Think I will prefer walking when its cold than when its burning hot. Hahaha...Ran home the other night at 9+. No street lights. Scaryyy. Oh well. Life here is generally ok minus the fact that getting a meal here is so ex. Went back to college to get pass some stuff to my lecturers. This is my chem lecturer. A real joker really. She is like 100 times better than the teachers we had in secondary school. Keep telling us jokes and eventually turned our weekly quiz session into discussion session because no one would bother to do their work by themselves.

Went One Utama with Fiona & Waise and then met up with Cheryl + Chin Wei for dinner, & movie again with Lilian. Lemmi see...The line to buy movie tickets weren't that long, bought them and went Old Asia for lunch. Had Ice Kacang or something like that. What movie did we watch again...Oh yea...it was Heartbreak Kid. After that, went to eat again!!! another Ice thingy at Kee Tak Zek. @.@ Fattening leh eat sweet stuff non stop. Okie...settled down for something 'light' for dinner. Chicken salad at Carl's Jr. Wasn't small at all though. Couldnt finish. Waise was complaining bout how big the burger was. Left about 1/3 of it. Finally went to watch The Golden Compass with Lilian. Grhh...ending that left me hanging. According to Lian the ending should be longer.

Since I applied to IMU I had to go for the IELTS test. And since I have no idea what it is about. I signed up for the workshop which was - dead boring.

The class was rather big. 60-70 people perhaps. Not sure. Thank goodness Yee Ming went for it too...Lol. If not, I'll be alone for 4 days. Saw Priscilla too. Good thing she recognized me. However, she asked me the same question many many many people asked me: Did you get tanner?

Ok ok I know that I'm really tan now =\ But......I don't really care. Its a healthy skin colour ain't it? =) Having the speaking test tomorrow and I don't know how I'm supposed to prepare for it.

Been a long time since I actually updated my blog...Sorry!! Hehe...was busy with exams but now I'm officially free =)

College is over and well...I feel quite sad bout it. Will be missing friends that I might not be seeing anymore next year and also those that I will be able to see. Lecturers too. They're just awesome. I really enjoy college life, getting to know new people, or even getting to know people from my old school even better this year, I even enjoy the times during class. Malaysian studies especially. Talking eating and joking in class...they're just experiences that I didn't have in secondary school. Many things changed in the past 11 months. People changed. I did too I think. Becoming less serious about somethings and getting along with people more easily. I like it.

Since I did a lil bit of 'Thank You's' last year. Might as well do it again this year.

Lolz.

Then theres Crystal. The...hrmm....lively one. Keeps everyone happy along with her partner Joanne. Crystal Qua. I'm gonna miss you!! Doubt that I'll find someone as funny as you next time. Great entertainment. Hehe. Don't kill me after you read this post. Its nothing bad about you don't worry. Meet up soon k? I'm sure we will.

Kinda sad...Don't really want mufy to be over. Will be missing the new friends I made this year...certainly not forgetting the old ones. Well...won't be posting too much stuff on my blog for the next 2 weeks. At least not until 13th Nov, my last day of finals ----Biology paper.

Why must they put Bio as the last paper...well for me...hehe. WIll be dreading all the papers I'm sure.

Felt jealous about it or something like that.
Well...I wouldn't deny doing so. It's just human nature isn't it? We want more things than we already have. Sometimes I'll think. Wouldn't life be so much easier if I had this or that.
But some things do come in a very high price, like not having family or friends beside you.

Lets say we live in an apartment...Ooo...the next thing we want would be a condominium. Even better yet, a semi-d, a bungalow in a posh area. We never stop wanting more do we?

Bad / Funny Day

Wednesdays...love them cause they're so short..lol. Went college blah blah blah..During englis class Ivan took out his phone. It was soooo cute! I thought it was a toy phone ok. Look at the photo below. Its not the advanced slim thin but the old fashioned water tumbler phone...but it has a coloured screen, can play videos and even take photos!!

Towards the end of chemistry class we were discussing where to go for lunch.
Crys: Eh later wanna go for lunch or not? One U k?
Sze : K k...
Mei Jo & Andrew agreed too.
Happily walked down to the foyer and waited for Jo. Paid the parking ticket and we seperated to Jo & Andrew's car. When I was about to get into the car...

*Mei starts running towards the car.
"Ehh!! Jo's car cannot start!!"
"What?? Why?"
"Maybe the car battery...Jo say didn't off the lights"

So Jo called her dad then the AAM people. Goodness...they say there were gonna come in 45 minutes. We ended up waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes. How efficient huh the way they work. If we needed to get to somewhere fast...could have just catch a cab or something. While waiting we went to the cafeteria
. Met Zhi Wen & Vincent. Then Vincent said something that made everyone knock their heads.
"Why you all didn't go call the mechanics near here? Here got so many bengkel"
Omygosh...everyone forgotten that behind the college there are many many many workshops! Could have strolled there and ask them to come jump start the car. Woohooo...the dumb van finally came and it took him a minute to start the engine.
Haha...Jo started to say stuff like..I think I'm gonna sell the car la. I'm not gonna drive anymore & etc.

Well...No more lunch at OU went straight home. Before getting down the car..Mei suddenly screamed damn loud!! I shouted back omygosh what?!?!? The reason? Not telling..Hehe. End.
